Tao -- Seventy-Four

If you realize that all things change,
There is nothing you will try to hold on to.
If you aren't afraid of dying,
there is nothing you can't achieve.

Trying to control the future
Is like trying to take the master carpenter's place.
When you handle the master carpenter's tools,
chances are that you will cut your hand.

I know there are many translations of the Tao Te Ching, so it is always interesting to see the slight differences. Fear is the force that holds us back in all things including fear of death. By extending oneself outward toward the source of all things, the fear evaporates in an eternal sea.

Love the verse.
